The mic on One,'s seemed to be turned off when connected as rear to the beam, making them similar to SL.
One Arc will be plenty. Your neighbors can thank me
anyone?
Very very happy with the Arc, overall audio quality is excellent when paired with Sub and (2) Ones. Can't speak from experience using it alone, but have messed with turning the Sub on/off to see what the difference is. And yes, it's a world of difference in overall depth and audio quality. The soundstage on the Arc is quite wide and really fills the room, and in comparison makes the Beam that I was using feel very inadequate in comparison. Not to knock the Beam, but once you put the Arc side-by-side it's really tough to convince otherwise.
IMHO - Atmos is virtually worthless in a soundbar. Some would argue otherwise, that's just been my experience.
For context, I am also using the Samsung HW-Q950A setup on another TV in our home, and find the audio quality to be very very similar, perhaps a slight edge goes to the Sonos overall. Plus the Arc/Sonos plays nice with other Sonos in the home, which I suppose is the whole point staying with that ecosystem.

Good to know that the upgrade from Beam to Arc is absolutely worth it and would be an easy swap if I were to get the Ones and the Sub as well.
Getting the refurb Beam at $260 was a decent deal for me and, like you said, staying to the whole Sonos sound system makes it convenient overall.
