Apple is as bad - and apparently signed a secret deal with the Chinese government.

Samsung disables eSIM functionality on their flagship models (and claims it's because the carriers won't allow it - although Google and Apple seem to be able to persuade the carriers).

Motorola's only eSIM offering is the razr - and it's single sim to boot.

So who should I buy from, if I'm looking for 5G / dual sim with eSim?

I've had my Pixel 2 for years. I don't know if it's locked or unlocked, is there a way I can tell? I think it may be Verizon version, if that's the case I can't trade it in?

Usually after 60 days the phones get unlocked automatically for verizon
