I love the fit of Airpods 1 and 2, but didn't like Airpods Pros' silicone tips. The regular Airpods just sit in my ears and I barely notice them. Those who went from the 1st/2nd gen Airpods to the 3rd gen, how comfortable are these compared to the previous Airpods?

So I have been reading some reddit threads on the Airpods 3. It is astounding how many people are saying that they don't fit well compared to Airpods 1/2, and that they will be returning them. I am an Android guy, but the Airpods 1/2 are my favorite earphones of all time in terms of comfort. I bought Airpods Pros (that $90 Amazon warehouse deal), but absolutely hated the fit and comfort, so ended up selling them. I decided to order the Airpods 3 as I liked the sound quality of the Airpods Pros, and there is no risk with Costco's return policy, but based on everything I have read so far, I am not expecting them to fit as well as my 2s.

Nice, bought these on Black Friday for $169, just submitted a price adjustment request.

Sound much better than my AirPods 2, fit differently though as they are bigger. Initially didn't feel as secure as the AirPods 2, constantly felt like they were going to fall out, but have been working out in them and haven't fallen out yet. I'm used to how they feel now, very happy with the upgrade.

In this case Reddit is right. I own the 2s, also bought/returned the pros (hated the "seal" aspect of a headphone I use when I'm semi active), and then got the 3s. The don't fit well. Always on the verge of falling out. I keep going back to my 2s

I ordered some right after release. Had to return due to discomfort. First gen style fits fine, pros fit fine.
