These things are great. But beware, larger phones are a tight fit. Mine has a 6.7 inch screen and will barely fit (and that's when I remove the phones case). Also, support for this device is atrocious. If you're getting this more for emulators, then you're golden, but I rarely find mobile games that support this. Hope this helps.
You can remove the rubber bumpers instead of taking your case off every time
I completely agree about support being absolutely horrible. I called and chatted with Razer support about my USB-C getting fried by the stock Razer Phone 2 charger. They basically acted like their devices were superior to everything and couldn't possibly fail, though never got back to me after I sent the requested images of burnt port/cable as proof. I've purchased many Razer products over the past few years, but the sad fact is that probably half of the devices I've gotten from them have failed within a few months...and then they never honor the warranties.

Also, consider the *stellar* 1.9-star review rating of the companion app as a good measure of their level of care (or rather, complete lack thereof). Razer obviously doesn't listen to the customers.

So, I'm currently using PS4 controller to play emulators and COD mobile. Is it worth it to get Razer Kishi?
I think using the Kishi is a better experience. The balance on a phone mounted to a console controller is all off. That said, I have a separate older/cheaper phone that I've dedicated to Kishi use. I don't trust the build quality on this to survive repeated insertion/removal cycles and don't want to ruin my USB-C port, either.

Adding my 3 cents.
If you plan to use this with xbox cloud and/or moonlight (I'll explain what this is later) you want the Xbox version of this controller - as it has a dedicated Xbox button and moonlight sees it as an regular Xbox controller. I'm not sure if non xbox version has the same capabilities, as i don't have one to test.

Controller wise, it's decently built but you doesn't have the tactile feeling of full fledge Xbox controller (duh!). The up facing buttons feel a bit "hard" to press and the triggers are vague on feedback. With that said, once you get used to the controller, these limitations are easy to overlook.

It's very portable, as it collapses on it self, so it promotes carrying it around. I usually carry mine around in my pocket or backpack.
It can be used with most android phones with a centered usb C connector (I use it with S10+ with a spigen case). Non centered usb c connector you'll have to look somewhere else for a controller.
The usb C plug only passes power. I've tried using usb c with 3.5mm adapters for sound, but no dice. You'll have to use the phone speakers or wireless earbuds.
Has barely any lag as it connects via usb C rather than Bluetooth. Draws power from phone so, it doesn't need batteries.

Moonlight is a streaming app that piggy backs from the Nvidea Gamestream protocol. It's free and you can stream almost any game from your Nvidea Gamestream capable pc to a remote device (Windows, Android, etc).
You require a decent wifi connection, and/or good internet connection and add some port forwarding. With it you can do stuff like Breath of the Wild in 4k on your phone. Recipe = Breath of the wild via CEMU emulation on your PC streamed to your phone.
Or playing witcher 3 on you pc, pause and continue playing it on your phone while traveling (assuming you have a good internet connection).
You can play using keyboard + mouse, xbox like controller, or xbox kishi. I'm sure you can use other controllers, but i have not personally tested.

I recommend the xbox version of this controller without hesitation. Got mine since late last year, use it several times a week with samsung earbuds and I'm very happy with it.

Both versions are the same, just the labeling is different. The buttons will behave the same way.

Originally bought this to play COD mobile on my Note 20U. Found out the hard way that it's not supported. However, there is a hack if you have a spare xbox controller. Connect the Xbox controller to your phone via bluetooth.

Nobody wanted your two cents and I still don't understand why anyone is still a fan of Xbox.

Good product that works as advertised, I use it to remote play my Xbox while at home. Xcloud is hit and miss with my internet connection, but remote play with this is pretty amazing. My biggest issue is that it won't work with thicker cases, especially ones with a cover for the USB port.

I wanted one of these, but a $7 attachment for my Xbox controller to hold my phone works very well, without the complication, and from what I hear with better compatibility with multiple phones and gamepass.

I'm only a casual gamer but I like it a lot. Use it on my s10+ with a case no problem after removing the Kishi's inserts.
I have the same phone but I usually have an Otterbox Defender Pro case on it. I'm guessing that won't fit haha. I prefer clips and controllers anyway but good to know.
