(full disclosure: i'm an industrial designer with a specialty in anthopometrics / ergonomics)
Foam suspension chairs work great in the short term but aren't built to last more than around 3-5 years depending on your weight and use. Those higher end office chairs, on the other hand, will literally last decades if you replace the wearing parts like casters and pistons. Ive had my aeron for 16 years now (had to replace the piston for $50 (amazon) about 8 years ago), my leap (which is by FAR my favorite) for 8 years. All of these chairs are mechanically suspended, they dont support your weight with foam. This, and the deep research behind each of those design efforts, is why they cost $1500 new*
*With so many offices going remote, you can find leap V2, mirras and aerons on sale (barely used) for about $300 through office liquidation businesses and often through marketplace.
hopefully this helps someone!

Edit: the lumbar support does move "up" a bit if you recline, but I wanted this for work in a mostly-vertical position, not 30 degrees reclined. I'm currently considering the ErgoChair Pro and Herman Miller Aeron or Mirra V2 (yes, I realize they're more $$ than the Iskur)
