Exactly opposite. If you don't activate they are good indefinitely it's once you activate on your account that the balance is good for certain time periods based on the card amount.

$1-$24 balance good for 30 days
$25-$99 balance good for 90 days
$100+ balance good for 365 days

My AT&T Prepaid $300 annual plan balance is due in September. So if I buy $30 cards I should wait until 90 days before due date to load to my acct?

Unfortunately for some Kroger charged tax on AT&T prepaids essentially killing the deal.
This is 14.5% for me with Red Card so about as good as it gets.

I stand corrected: the 15% Kroger sale covered only Cricket Wireless cards. The earlier offer, on only AT&T and Cricket Wireless, was 13%. Thank you for the clarification.

So, if you're looking beyond these two plans, or if Kroger charges sales tax in your state whereas Target does not, this 10% deal could be good.

Seems like I tried it and Verizon didn't but being AT&T I didn't purchase any so not 100% on that.

The $100 cards are good for 365 days on your acct instead of 90 days, and usually with Target the best savings is by buying $50 cards. This time same savings for any denomination so if someone has the cash and doesn't foresee changing carriers, this is a great time to load up for the next year and not have to deal with timing purchases and saving prepaid card info for a few months at a time.

That's AT&T, after you apply the pin to your account, i.e., balance expiration. I thought the question was about how long you could hold the pin without applying the pin code to your account.
