  • About this deal:
    • Valid Sunday 1/9/22 10am ET until 5pm ET.
    • Price on 77" LG OLED77A1PUA A1 Series 4K Smart OLED TV is the lowest we've seen, $98 lower than a Popular deal from December 2021.
  • About this product:
    • Rtings gives the LG A1 OLED series a score of 8.5 for Mixed Usage and 9.3 for Movies:
      • "The LG A1 OLED is an excellent TV for pretty much any usage. Deep, inky blacks make it an outstanding choice for watching movies in the dark. The low input lag and nearly instantaneous response times help deliver an amazing experience playing games in SDR or HDR. It's also great for watching sports or TV shows thanks to the wide viewing angles and superb reflection handling, but it can't get very bright, so it's not ideal for a bright environment."
    • Rtings gives the LG C1 OLED series a score of 8.8 for Mixed Usage and 9.3 for Movies:
      • "The LG C1 OLED is an amazing all-around TV. It has stunning picture quality thanks to its near-infinite contrast ratio, which is great for watching movies or gaming in the dark. The near-instantaneous response time makes motion look exceptionally clear in fast-moving games and sports, and its low input lag is great for gaming or use as a PC monitor. While it doesn't get very bright for HDR, its high contrast helps it deliver an impressive HDR experience."

60hz vs 120 hz panel. HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1. The A1 only has three HDMI inputs. If you don't care about gaming features and you only watch TV shows and movies, go with the A1.

Why so much more for 83"? As far as I know image is identical between A and C models! Sheesh
False. Right off the bat, A1 is 60Hz refresh rate while the C1 is 120Hz. But there's more: https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/c...shold=0.10

Anyone who games should stay away from A series. It doesn't have many features that are truly deal breaker such as 120hz hdmi 2.1 VRR. Just good for casual user

Great price for the 83 c1. I'm trying to hold off long enough to get the sony 83a90j for around this price.

Or just get the CX model when gets it closer to this price. The last store that had it for that price was Microcenter for a refurb. Sam's Club had its C1 77 inch brand new for that price earlier this year (2399 with a 400 instant rebate, making it 1999) as well. I hated I missed out on it Frown .

Really!? I missed that deal. I'll have to search for it. You're right though. The CX is a better deal than the A1.

When did Sam's club have the C1 for 1999?! This never happened.

LG works with a "mother glass" piece that outputs certain yields of TVs from that piece of glass. 83" is less efficient than 77" at yielding more profitable tvs (glass cuts) and so they charge a lot more for such a little gain in size. It's the same reason their upcoming 100" tv to compete with other manufacturers is actually only going to be 98" because they don't have equipment to handle 100" glass sizes, need the margin of error in cuts for waste, and can only get smaller extra tv sizes out of the yield.

Also it's their flagship size for their C line, most popular line so higher demand, has more HDMI ports, has higher refresh rates, and probably other subtle improvements above A1.

I'm curious about these call-in deals. Why do companies do these? What's the benefit to having people call-in vs having them order online? Is it because they get more of your info when you call in?

Anyway, not crapping on the deal. Just wondering what the angle is on call-in deals.
Because the manufacturer doesn't allow advertised prices below msrp. I also got this deal referenced above.

They can't advertise the price online, think of it as a secret under the table deal.
