It's TWO WEEKS until Christmas and the crazies have brigaded Hot Deals.

See: ANY AND ALL Mask Threads, Hookers and Blow thread,,. any thread really. WTF?

Please. I know it is like whack a mole, but damn. It is really bad today.

I need to learn what is on sale this weekend, not the ideological views of people ill equipped to discuss anything, much less global diplomacy. I also don't need anti-mask brigades without medical degrees discussing health policy. I just need to know where to get an effing impossible to find video game console for my nephews so that when I am OLD they put me into the GOOD nursing home, OK?

Thank you for your service, now get out that ban hammer and go to work.

Hi minifigg...

Can you point to a particular post or thread which is especially problematic? I understand your frustration, because I, too, can get frustrated at what seems to be the lack of common decency and respect in this day and age. However, as a general rule of thumb, it is probably best to IGNORE the comments and/or posters that make you frustrated. Sort of like choosing not to feed the trolls, don't let them take away your joy this holiday season.

The mod team is working hard to keep the site as clean as possible, but we are a small team when compared to the 12 million monthly shoppers utilizing the site. Every member can do their part by being good ambassadors for Slickdeals -- a company they know and love, following the rules, and mod-alerting specific issues that arise. Mask threads are okay to be posted, as is the "Hookers and Blow" book you referenced from Amazon. If everyone would do their part and keep their comments deal-focused and appropriate, we'll all make it through this holiday season a little stronger for the next!

IF I had posted all the comments that were problematic, I would still be posting. I know you are all overworked but I promise I would not have made this thread if things were not completely terrible yesterday. Things seem to have calmed down. I am with you that ignoring comments or threads is good, but when literally every thread on the front page of Hot Deals at one point yesterday had devolved into China/Qanon/Antimask trolling I felt something needed to be said.

We are glad you made this thread! It is important to us Mod to have extra eyes on things to help us clean things up where needed. Mod alerting us to areas that you feel need specific attention is the quickest way to reach us, and be sure to include links. Smilie
