Lowe's has Tuft & Needle 10" memory foam mattresses on clearance for 50% off, in store only. I believe these are the same as the Tuft & Needle Original mattresses. There is a good amount in stock near me, so this may be pretty easy to find. Lowe's links for reference only, also including brickseek links as they seem to be working now.

I don't know why Lowe's has two listings for each size, I can't tell any difference. I included both though as they all show stock around me.

PRICES DROPPED MORE AS OF DEC 13 - I have updated the prices below to the lowest it shows near me, but YMMV

Full #1 - $94.77
Lowe's [lowes.com]
Brickseek [brickseek.com]

Got the king last week...still deciding if I like it. Definitely different feeling than a traditional spring mattress.

How does it feel to you? I prefer firm/extra firm spring mattress. My mattresses are all from Costco. Bought one random memory foam before and felt it was too soft for my liking. I want to buy a King size for extra bedroom

It's advertised as being firm, but it actually feels soft to me. I'm 200lb and 6' and i feel like I sink too much into it. I haven't had any pain or discomfort sleeping, though...I'm going to give it a few weeks and maybe I'll just grow to love it.

I am in the same boat, we had a pillow top prior to this and while I don't mind the new bed its not amazing by any means. Curious to the difference between this and the mint, for $400 difference it may be worth trying to figure out the return process.

The return process for Lowe's looks really easy, here is the text from Tuft & Needle's website:

For Lowe's returns requested within the 100-night sleep trial, please contact Lowe's Customer Care directly at 1-800-445-6937 to initiate the return.

Then, gently remove the law tags located on the underside of the mattress. Bring these tags along with your proof of purchase to Lowe's to complete the refund. You may donate the T&N mattress to a local charity or non-profit of your choice.

If you have any questions about your Tuft & Needle Lowe's purchase, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Experience team at [email protected] or by calling 844-760-1161.

Mattress in a box is rolled long ways so the width of the box is a tad wider than the width of the mattress you're buying.

The king box is still only 19"x19"x44", so I think you'd be able to fit any of the sizes in most cars. If not in the trunk, it should fit in the back seat. It is quite heavy though so you might want a helper.

ETA: you can scroll down and see all the box dimensions on this page https://www.tuftandneedle.com/mattress/original/

I have a tough and needle mattress and after three year of using it it hurts my back so much i have sleep in another room. Looking for a replacement and it's most likely going to be a firm spring mattress. If you're having lower back issue this mattress is not for you.

Did it just start after 3 years? I was waking up with pain and stiffness every day and constantly tossing and turning. I started having severe back pain leading to me purchasing a new mattress. I had been researching several months earlier and settled on Tuft & Needle based on reviews and even watching videos comparing how different brands were made. I ended up purchasing the Mint because it was said to be best for side sleepers. I've had the best sleep I've probably ever had since. But I've only had it about a month.

I know different people have different experiences. My chiropractor recommended Sleep Number, but I saw people complaining they had lots of back pain with them.

I drive a 2 door coupe. I was able to fit the full size mattress box in the car (acura rsx) without any issues. With the back seats down, of course. Depends what you have though.

I would say it started a little after three years of owning it. Then my lower back started to hurt. I suspect the firmness of the mattress isn't holding up like it was before. I would suggest flipping it often to make it last a little longer than normal. My wife and I are looking into the sleep number but I'm not sure we need that. I sleep well on an older spring mattress so just need to find a good quality king spring mattress.

back breaker for me. I'm 6'1, 230, and have had this bed for about 3 years. the last 6 months have been horrible; sinking into the bed, unable to move easily, bad lower back pain, and it lost all edge support. Replaced it on black friday with a Lessa Hybrid from Costco and am so much happier.

The tuft and needle was my 3rd memory foam mattress in the last 12ish years, and it was by far the most dissapointing. The $249 Zinus I started with way back when held up better.
