I saw this crazy offer on my blue cash preferred card. Seems like the craziest credit card offer of all time.

Update:
Happy to tell it worked for me

I hadn't looked into it prior to this comment.
However, I see most Visa appear to cap at $500.
A good alternative - Amex gift card allows up to $3,000 to be loaded per card.

I can achieve the max value from this by largely just shifting normal spend over to AMEX exclusively - but if these credits really come through its setting up 2022 to be huge from the financial picture perspective !

Reminds me of some of the ShopYourWay points screw-ups, but nowhere near as high of values.
if you have this offer added (locked in) and you can't or won't use it......you're crazy.
also this could be the end of the amex offer program. either they shut this down or they revamp it but it has serious issues and limitations and obviously no leadership and/or oversight. anyone who thought points = dollars should be dealt with and this entire offer/acceptance the way you add it to your account really puts them in a bind; makes it extremely difficult to pull it back. also the way they dole out offers where some cardholders get them and others don't....it's time to overhaul or drop it. obviously we will miss the program if it goes....but it's the only one which clearly and almost always allowed gift card purchases and which almost always stacked with "anything" and the turnaround rate (in days) was unmatched by most other programs. not to speak of the deals (in %) were quite generous. frankly it's the only thing keeping me using my cards but it was a real blow to close the tab trick loophole and this debacle might spell the beginning of the end....hope not.
Mostly, I use it for my streaming services.
