Have you tried paying with $500 VISA gift cards?
Card is Amex Blue Cash (legacy). No annual fee, I don't think they take apps for it now. Cash Rewards are: Annual US spending at Everyday Purchases at U.S. Supermarkets, Select U.S. Drugstores, U.S. Gas Stations from $0.01 - $6,500 then you earn 1.00% and for the Other Eligible Purchases you earn rewards 0.50%.
Rewards bonus up after $6500-50K spend to 5.00% and for the Other Eligible Purchases you earn rewards 1.00%.
Sure helps paying two out of state college tuitions....
