Well sure, that's what it's intended for. But it makes an easy-to-clean surface when gluing up items in the shop because almost nothing sticks to it. You can let the adhesives cure and then just flex to peel them off. And if you get some uncured epoxy, you just wipe it off with isopropyl.

I keep a stack of half-sheet parchment paper in my workbench drawer. I'd still use it for messy jobs where I don't what to clean up, but a durable sheet is nice as an underlayment.

Kitchen and shop are only really separated by the edibility of the final product.

Please realize that this is made for a FULL SHEET PAN, not the half sheet pan that most everyone has in their homes. Most people looking at this deal have an oven that a full sheet pan won't even fit inside.

No big deal - I'll cut it to fit! Nope, these are strengthened with fiberglass - if you cut them, you end up with fiberglass in your food.

Using it for a work surface cover is pretty good, though

Thanks, ordered 2. These are great. I have 2 of the smaller ones already that I got on amazon. No need for baking sheets ever!

Kitchen supplies are cheap to repurpose for other uses. Economies of scale.

I'm sure this is dumb question, but how do people wash these things effectively? They are so flimsy, I can't see scrubbing them by hand or putting them in dishwasher

yeah can be a bit of a pain depending on your sink, but you can lay it on something or press against the side of the sink and flip.

My Kitzini ones do pretty good in the dishwasher, they just take up a bit of space because I lay them flat across the rack. In the sink it's easiest to do them last. That way you're letting it sit against the sink while you wash the dirty side, rinse it, rinse the sink, flip it over, and wash the other side.
