Sorry, no comment on this specific deal. Just a bit of general advise for those just looking for their first set of bookshelf speakers.
This is still a great deal though, and much cheaper than usual. I'm listening to them right now and they are fantastic imo.

Finale. Was also surprised to see that none of the models sold out this year.
With all that said the 530's are just amazing. I have about 10 hours on mine and they keep getting better. Running them on a Yamaha A S301 and that's plenty of power.
About 6 feet, so not quite near field and I have yet to push them enough to really experience the chuffing some reviewers mention.
If you are on the fence like I was a year ago jump on these now. You won't regret it.
Basically the 150M's are more a dynamic sound but on the bright side.
These are more flat sounding to the point of being stale.
The 150M's will be easier to drive also.

Having listened to, and measured both, the jbl s530 is a better product. Both benefit from a sub. That said, the aesthetics are an acquired taste. The klipsch and kef counterparts certainly look better.

Personally you have to pick your poison with the two.
I would agree these are an acquired taste aesthetically, for me I would say they are pretty fugly!!!

I'd appreciate it if you'd stop suckering people into the same marketing trap you're stuck in. You're a smart guy. Break out of the false beliefs.
The 530 aren't end game stereo, but they're close enough for a lot of people.
