If you're not out in the boonies, check your local market place (FB, CL, OU, etc) for bookshelf speakers. A lot of people sell some seriously high end ones for very cheap. Some of the older ones are really nice too as long as they have good foam surrounds. My favorite set so far have been Boston Acoustics A60s that I got in mint shape for $80. Just picked up a nice set of AE aesprit 300s for $100 yesterday, they retailed for $700 20 years ago. A lot of people will demo them for you too which I suggest.
Sorry, no comment on this specific deal. Just a bit of general advise for those just looking for their first set of bookshelf speakers.
That was a better deal. I ordered it myself and sold the headphones right away for $50 and there was cb as well, speaking of which it's currently 10% on rak.
This is still a great deal though, and much cheaper than usual. I'm listening to them right now and they are fantastic imo.

Wow what a deal. Really surprised to see these come back on sale. I thought the deal with the free headphones was the
Finale. Was also surprised to see that none of the models sold out this year.
With all that said the 530's are just amazing. I have about 10 hours on mine and they keep getting better. Running them on a Yamaha A S301 and that's plenty of power.
About 6 feet, so not quite near field and I have yet to push them enough to really experience the chuffing some reviewers mention.
If you are on the fence like I was a year ago jump on these now. You won't regret it.
It will depend on your sound preference, they sound very different.
Basically the 150M's are more a dynamic sound but on the bright side.
These are more flat sounding to the point of being stale.
The 150M's will be easier to drive also.
Historically Klipsch has a dynamic sound, but you aren't getting crazy dynamics out of any 5-6in midwoofer, no matter the brand.
Having listened to, and measured both, the jbl s530 is a better product. Both benefit from a sub. That said, the aesthetics are an acquired taste. The klipsch and kef counterparts certainly look better.
My order with JBL from November 26th is still processing despite all of my order being "in stock and ready to ship." JBL told me today it should ship in the next few days. First time ordering from JBL directly. Not impressed.

I was going strictly by listening but it's all subjective anyways.
Personally you have to pick your poison with the two.
I would agree these are an acquired taste aesthetically, for me I would say they are pretty fugly!!!

Yeah, I am in the same boat. Still waiting to ship.
Call JBL they give out 20% off codes for being a valued customer. Mine only applied to one item so I wasn't able to use it on two Studio 590's but since the 530's come in pair it worked.

I love my Yamaha A-S301. And it's phono-ready if you're interested in vinyl.
