Mediocre? He never said they were mediocre. Watch the video. He liked these buds. At 13 minute mark, he literally said these earbuds sound "dope" and on the level as the under armour buds and project rock.

"These are dope. These are dope.". He did say that but he prefers the jbl endurance peak though. He really loves the Live 300 as the best of the bunch. $75 sale now at jbl site. This video is really a quick unboxing of like 5 headphones rather than a review.

For reviews I prefer a way more detailed rtings review. Big pros for the Flow is bass accuracy and mid accuracy and also scores very good noise isolation at 7.9 which is really impressive as it doesn't have ANC. For $30-35 with the JBL Flow or endurance peak, I don't think one can find a better sounding earbud and would outscore it in this price range. Both the JBL outscores the Anker sound core liberty 2 that had a 6.9 neutral sound as it should as the JBL had a higher retail price. In terms of sound quality, JBL Flow has a 7.2 neutral sound, Endurance Peak 7.5 neutral sound. Many other factors to consider than just the neutral sound though so I recommend to check out rtings as well as reviews on Amazon. 4 out of 5 stars from 1,664 reviews.

*Always judge a product for what you paid. If someone pays $100 for buds, you grade differently than someone who pays $30-35 for the same buds. I compare products in same sale price range.

Any idea on their durability? Do they last longer than a year?

For me, these didn't last long. Used it in beginning for 3-4 months, worked fine but connection issues (finding new devices was hard, button pressing was hard to learn or reset). Now opened them after 6 months for new phone and can't get them to connect. Tried many YouTube videos but none helpful. It was good till it worked

Yeah I have these too and wouldn't recommend - they sound ok but are chunky and uncomfortable, and I think the case actually drains the battery because i find them dead constantly and the light on the back of the case will just light up randomly (when it's not even plugged in!)

They ARE completely waterproof though, so it's kinda nice to have a pair that you can wear in the tub and not worry if they get completely submerged.

You are putting words in his mouth. One doesn't say "These are dope. These are dope!" and then label them "mediocre". When someone says "dope", it doesn't mean mediocre. He didn't say the cheaper ones were better. He actually thought the rankings were #1 Live 300 (retail $150 and sale price at $75 now on Amazon), #2 Endurance Peak, #3 Tied with Under Armour, Rock and Reflect Flow...... The real cheaper ones were #4 Tune 120 and #5 Tune 220. I actually watched the video.

* I guess if you want to say that because the Endurance Peak costs $30 and has a $5 cheaper sale price, it automatically means the Reflect Flow is "mediocre"? OK.... Weird logic. It would make more sense to compare the buds with other buds in similar price sale price range though which isn't many around $30-35 range.

Okay well there are plenty of reviews and plenty of people in this post stating that they stopped working after a few months which if the reviewer says the cheaper ones were better than yeah that automatically makes these just mediocre.

Are these as good, better, or worse than the $47 AKG buds on slickdeals?

Floss had his picks like this:
#1 = Live 300 (his fav by far)
#2 = Endurance Peaks
#3 Reflect Flow (this threads deal)

At the time of video posting in 2020, Floss said:
The Live 300s were $150 (Type C)
The Endurance Peaks were $120 (no Type C)
The Reflect Flows were $150 (no Type C)

So the #2 set of buds that Floss like better than Reflect Flows were $30 cheaper.
The current Amazon and Slick prices added some confusion to the review (made in 2020). As Floss made the review, he liked the Reflect Flows but he liked two more sets better - and one of those was cheaper

If a set of buds is #3 choice, #2 is cheaper, and #1 costs the same but has USB Type C - that makes the Reflect Flows mediocre - which doesn't mean bad
