I have the fold2. It's less conducive to casually whipping out your phone because you're bored and more conducive toward using your phone for when you actually need to do something or engage in content. Less screen time but better screen time. I recommend it.

Probably not as Flip dropped in price (quite a bit from what I remember).
Though I do agree that it probably will retain value for trade in for at least S22.
The trade-in value from one Fold to the next is always boosted. So I would also assume $1K for the Fold3 when upgrading to the Fold4.

Yes, that makes sense! I will go in person to the store and see if they will honor it. Wish us both luck, and thank you.
I just got back from Bestbuy and they would not honor both the $800 off the ZF3 and the additional trade in value of a Note 10+ ($400). All the rep would tell me is that the system would not allow it and there was no way to override it.
I hope others can get both discounts!

How are you getting $400 off with a galaxy note 10 plus? Their system only offered me $200 for trade in which is BS IMHO.

The trade in value right now on Samsung is $900 for the fold 2 when purchasing a fold 3.

Has anyone successfully canceled the extra t-mobile line after getting this deal? Tbh I don't mind paying the $25 for one month to get $100 extra off on the phone.

This has been a nightmare with BB they have cancelled my order without my permission. I was supposed to receive my phone this am but they said they had issues with activation on Tmobile which there wasn't because I could see the new line on my Tmobile account. I got transferred close to 20 times between BB departments with no one able to resolve the issue for nearly 4 hours on the phone. One of the reps suggested I drive to a different state to purchase the phone in store O.o and I was like "You want me to drive to a different state?". BB customer service is a JOKE and they will cancel your order without your permission and good luck getting anything done over the phone! And if all the stores are out of stock nearby how are you supposed to get this done?? I had to recreate a new order but I wasn't able to activate my CB for my 3rd party and now it became a whole mess. The new order is supposed to arrive on Friday now but I am not holding my breath.

Do you know if they have to have the phone in stock to do this in the store? Or can they do all this and just order in the phone and I can pick up the phone and trade in the phone? Since "Activate Today" is the thing, I don't know whether I have to go to a store that has this in stock (45min. drive) or whether I can just go to any Best buy which has "pick it up in 2 days" store to "try" this. If enhanced trade-in works, then I would have just drove 45 min. but if it doesn't, I don't want to be driving 1 1/2hr round trip for nothing.

I was another one that was super excited about this phone. Got it a few months ago with Samsung pre order deal and paid $950 including free accessories. Honestly, I hated everything about it. The outer screen is too narrow to type, it was annoying to have to fold open the phone every time I wanted to use it. When unfolded the screen was an odd size square which none of my games fit correctly on and would have to swipe let or right to fit the game on the odd screen size. The narrow but thick brick size of the phone was annoying in your pocket and tends to fall out of your pocket easier when sitting. The s pen is external and the s pen cases really suck. the hidden selfie camera was also terrible. Luckily Samsung has an easy return policy, and in much happier using my Note 20 ultra.

I used this device for a month before giving up on it and moving back to S21 Ultra.

My main issue was with how thick it was folded. It just made it harder for me to easily carry it around. Surprisingly, the battery life was pretty good on it. You just need to give it a few days for the adaptive battery management to do its thing. Once it did, I was easily getting more than a day worth with moderate usage.

Another issue was the aspect ratio. Most of the time watching videos or browsing social media/reddit, it was not using the full real estate. Zooming caused cropping.

Keep in mind though, Samsung offers great trade-in value, so essentially this would be 1k in itself when trading in.
Yup same here. Back to by s21 ultra. Missed the cameras way too much..truly stunning and even among all my iPhone friends, they're amazed when i send them photos. Z fold just isn't carefree using it. Not any one thing bad, but a bunch of nothing great plus new form factor to get used to = not worth it. Maybe if traveling more and not carrying a computer, I'd think differently.

Thanks, this was the feedback I was looking for. I have had one in my cart for a few days and still couldn't bring myself to do it. I've read its damn near useless folded and can be unwieldly opened up. Maybe if I worked in the office or had a commute. But seems my S21+ and a S7 around the house may serve my use case better than an "all in one".

Not sure how anyone is unhappy with this phone. Coming from every flagship samsung, this phone is amazing. Even when folded, its a manageble sacrifice. The fact that you can have it half way open to prop up somewhere is amazing as well

There's certainly use cases for it. I'm big into emulators and I saw pics of DS/3DS emus running which were awesome. That alone almost convinced me. It's not necessarily the money that is the issue, its if I'd actually use it to its capabilities.

Although using it in public, I always wondered if I'd be seen as a bit...pretentious.
