These are adjustable since they dim, but they are not the white ambiance lights, therefore you can't change them from warm white to cool white.

Do you think they would work in an enclosed fixture on an outdoor covered porch? It says indoor only but that would keep it out of the weather besides temp changes.

I think for the price I'd be willing to try it. I installed some color ones outside where I have a covered patio. My only concern is the summer heat here gets intense (Phoenix, AZ) l, but if one dies I'll take the others out. Other than that, maybe humidity is a concern??? Not sure, but for these at < $10 the risk isn't too high to try.

Edit: just to add a thought. When it comes to just white bulbs, my preference is to install a smart dimmer wall switch and then use regular dimmable LED bulbs. I only use bulbs when I want color, otherwise I use smart switches or plugs.

My experience says yes. I have them in two ceiling fans on my covered front porch and use them for my back yard lights. I used a Lutron zigbee remote that plays nicely with hue and a couple bulbs I have that aren't in the Hue ecosystem. I've had GE, Feit, and Osram lights all fail at points in outdoor enclosed fixtures, but so far all of the Hue bulbs have worked reliably for a few years.

would these work with a light fixture that is connected to a Honeywell timer? say I set the color i want and it would keep the same color when the time go off/on?

I've had this exact bulb in my front door porch light enclosure for two years. It's worked just fine from -28°F to +100°F. YMMV, though.

I have 2 inside a few exterior wall lights that are not covered and they're still going strong after 2 years. May not last as long due to temp/humidity but I'm okay with that. Only issue would be to make sure you have Wifi signal on the porch.

Don't do it! I have done this with a bunch of smart bulbs and they worked fine in a covered outdoor wall lantern. Did it with a Hue white bulb and it won't turn all the way off now. Hit up Hue support and they say I voided the warranty by using them this way.

These are the white version, no colors. But they will work fine with a timer. They have an option in the app that lets you set their on/off behavior, so you can set when they turn on (via a switch or honeywell timer) then they'll power on to the same brightness level they were at when they lost power.

I have one in an inclosed fixture under my porch ceiling and two more in inclosed fixtures in the kitchen. All have been running for years without issue. I set the porch to run 90% to keep the heat down a bit in the summer.

Great price for the adjustable whites. If this were color, it'd be mindblowing price. One of the top deals last year was the tunable white A19 4 pack starter kits for $30 at HD. This is a great add-on to those.
