For sure, he did quote the name of that drive in the post though
Ok. I'll trust the videos. But will find out tomorrow. I seem to recall some stories of vendors sending out high speed drives to review sites - then later dumbing down the specs? Hope that is not the case here. I will check the r/w speeds claimed on the box before i open this.

Update - right on amazon it says works with PS5. i think its even claimed on the package based on the install videos I watched. We'll see what I get...

Why would you want to replace the 1TB drive of the ps5 with a 1TB drive 😂
Who said about replacing?? The only reason to buy this is to EXPAND storage. This would make it a 2TB capacity Ps5

The comments on their site from staff say it's not fast enough
Installed 2TB with zero issues today. Plenty of speed to meet PS5 minimum spec. Formated and tested fine.

I understand everyone is using this primarily for PS5 but how about performance on PC?

and the 2TB is $250. Is the performance good compared to other options for the PS5?
I feel like this is the best drive for the ps5 - paying $50-100 more for the Samsung / WD isn't really worth it for this use case.

Is this the cheapest storage you can get for Ps5 I was looking for one $100 or less if possible
The MSI deal was the cheapest, from Newegg a week or so ago. Made it 79 bucks after a 20 dollar rebate, I believe.

Its 4th gen with 5000+ speeds, I used mine in PS5. Games work fine and not that much different than the internal real-world 1TB MSI Spatium M470 M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 5000/4400 MB/s Internal SSD (slickdeals.net)

Problem I don't want to risk Gen 3 5000 speeds because some people are saying for newer next gen games it won't work

Yes, I bought this model but with the heatsink a while back when the PS5 just opened up the M.2 slot. The performance has been exceptional especially for the price. Definitely worth the money.
