I think a lot of people slept on this SSD for their PS5 because they weren't familiar with the Adata brand but I have another one of their M2 SSDs in my main PC as the main OS drive and it's still going strong after 3 years.
For sure, he did quote the name of that drive in the post though
Ok. I'll trust the videos. But will find out tomorrow. I seem to recall some stories of vendors sending out high speed drives to review sites - then later dumbing down the specs? Hope that is not the case here. I will check the r/w speeds claimed on the box before i open this.
Update - right on amazon it says works with PS5. i think its even claimed on the package based on the install videos I watched. We'll see what I get...

Its 4th gen with 5000+ speeds, I used mine in PS5. Games work fine and not that much different than the internal real-world 1TB MSI Spatium M470 M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe 5000/4400 MB/s Internal SSD (slickdeals.net) https://youtu.be/OokxPZeWrQ0 simple review of boot time vs a 7000mb M480 drive on the PS5.

Problem I don't want to risk Gen 3 5000 speeds because some people are saying for newer next gen games it won't work

and the 2TB is $250. Is the performance good compared to other options for the PS5?
Yes, I bought this model but with the heatsink a while back when the PS5 just opened up the M.2 slot. The performance has been exceptional especially for the price. Definitely worth the money.
