Saw this in a stack of clearance stickers today at my Lowe's. They hadn't been put out yet. 50% off a pit master sounded pretty good, though the sale isn't active yet because it would not scan (item not found), and the app shows full price. Consider this a heads up, I'm not sure when clearance sales start typically.

Picked this up about 2 months ago for $218, works great and easy to use. Rather large temperature swings intermittently like + or - 25-50 degrees, but never has this affected the results. So far I've done ribs, pork shoulder, brisket, sausage, chicken, and even Thanksgiving turkey

I suspect that's 820 square inches; 820 square feet is about the size of my first apartment -- which would be quite a smoker.

Get the heat shield sold on Amazon. There's several sellers, or make one yourself. It helps keep a more even temp across the grates eliminating that center hot spot at the sear plate. This shield goes over the burn pot. Also helps temps regulate better with not as wide temp swings. I set on 250, it stays very close to 235 with the shield giving me a slow even cook.
