I purchased a 3 month plan back in August 2021 from best buy. I didn't activate it until Nov 20th.
Today while checking my balance, I noticed that it doesn't expire until May 2021.
I know there's a bogo promo on both best buy and mints websites. So maybe because I activated during the promo time, I also received the the free months?!

My brother bought a $30 10 GB sim couple of months ago without realizing it should be activated within 45 days, so he couldn't activate it online. He called Mint CS and the nice rep helped him activate the plan. He also sees 6 months of service on his account.

Surprisingly I was able to activate mine without calling - I was at least 90 days out too.

He had to call?

you have to call if it won't activate via the website. Most time they will allow you to activate even if you are out of the 45 day period.
I haven't tried activating outside of the 45 day window. My current mint 3 month ends this Saturday. I have an 8gb (10gb) from August. I just need to port out and back in.
During the last bestbuy promotion, I bought two SIMs. I activated my second after Thanksgiving. This is the first time I've ever had an issue with activation. I was able to activate on another phone, then move the SIM back to my phone. Noticed the 6 months after I activated.

Nice congrats! I ordered two during the August BB promo - somebody on here told me they've activated past 45 days no issue, since it was only $30 I decided to take the risk... And definitely paid off!!!
I did this last year. eSIM is working now for Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which is REALLY nice to have to free up the SIM card slot for traveling or if you need a work sim card.
My family of 5 all switched to Mint from T-Mobile, and since they use the same network (though deprioritized) we have had no problems. Actually going on 14 months now, and we saved a lot by switching. It's no joke. We now pay $180/yr x 5 lines = $900/yr total, versus with T-Mobile we were paying $175/mo for 5 lines=$2100/yr. So a total thus far of over $1200 saved and we have seen no difference in usability.

Highly recommend Mint Mobile.
If so, please explain how, and details. Thanks.
