The Meater has a combo special on Amazon.

Buy the Meater Block + Meater gloves for $288.95 Prime for both. They charge and ship separately.

I am returning the gloves as I don't need those which brings down the Meater block to $258.80 shipped. This is a pretty good deal on the block itself.

I currently have a single Meater Plus and have been wanting the block for a while.

Hi,

How durable are these probes? How long have you had your single?

Have had the Meater Plus for over a year now. Have cooked a few things... Prime Rib.. Turkey.. I love using it when doing some Tomahawk steaks.

I use it in my Masterbuilt 560.. have had no issues taking it to sear at around 500-600'. I only sear for a few minutes on each side. Low and slow cooks are great also.

Yes. Ships in two shipments. Once in the cart, the order is processed, it becomes two separate orders. Once you get the gloves, you are able to return them separately from the meater.

I waited until my return process was correct before posting.

I've had the block for 2-3 years now, probes have held up like a champ - 0 issues in the smoker or grill. Only thing I'm not a fan of is the block itself doesn't show temps on it (or at least mine) and really just acts as a wifi hub and probe charger. Outside of that the app is pretty decent and I haven't had any problems with it.

I have the Plus from the last deal (not sure why people downvoted me for saying that I was going to buy it lol), and I absolutely love it. I realized though that they'd get expensive if I wanted more, which I did since I'd be doing more than one cook.

Ended up with a Govee Wifi/Bluetooth thermometer that has 4 probes. The probes wire into the unit, but since I have my Meater Plus, I don't have to worry about rotisserie style cooking.

People doing more than one probe might want to consider doing one Meater type probe for complete cordless cooking and a less expensive Wifi thermometer for more probe points. Having to use multiple apps does kinda suck, but it's still cheaper by around $100 for my combo and I get 5 total probes.

One drawback of the Plus in my case though, is that I lose connection to it when I go to my garage, but it picks right up when I get back into my living room so the Bluetooth is good, but probably not as good as the Block's wifi.

I do love mine - i find if you are doing a 1.5 inch thick steak or thinner - you will overcook it if you listen to the Meater on when to pull it - for hot and fast cooking, it reacts a bit too late and youll overcook by 8-15 deg. Just monitor the temp and pull when you know it should be pulled which is usually 8-12 degrees shy of desired internal temp depending on thickness of meat and the temp of the grill or pan (pull it 5-8 degress shy if its a roast, thick steak or if you cooked it low and slow regardless of thickness)

for low and slow cooks - there is nothing better to measure internal temp and estimate cook time - same for Roasts, whole chickens, turkeys etc. Just dont trust the timings given for a quick steak cook.
Also for 10% off any regularly priced Meater products - head to their website and use code NOSETOTAILBBQ10 (one time use per user - cant be combined with any other offers) Wink I am a brand ambassador for them through my IG account @nosetotailbbq
