What ive listened to from this series was entertaining. Overall Ive listened to probably between 30-40ish of these and for the most part they are a continuous story. Main characters may change but it seems to continue the same general storyline. Keep in mind that despite the short playback times, (especially on 1.5x etc) there are tons of books. I think there were 70+ the last time i looked, so it was hard/expensive to try and keep up with the audiobook format.
In terms of the gist of the story, it's kinda like smashing together, mad max, fallout and borderlands. It has serious spots but it doesn't take it's self too seriously. If you are driving it's like listening to an old school over the top B movie. Overall i enjoyed what i listened to, i just didn't have the funds to keep up with the audiobooks.
Something to keep in mind is that Graphicaudio is "like a movie in your mind" so it does have sound effects or bgm from time to time, which can sometimes make dialogue tough to parse with road noise.
In my experience anything from GraphicAudio is A+. Excellent voice acting (they don't read the books they have a cast that voice acts). Great music and sound effects.
I listened to the Stormlight Archives by Brandon Sanderson on Audible and then on GraphicAudio. The difference in the experience is amazing. My skin tingled and heart pounded when listening to the GraphicAudio versions.
