These things are great! That is until the sound messes up because your toddler chucks it half way across the room all the time. Still, highly recommended.

My pediatrician and child development specialist all says not to use walkers, it prevents the baby from developing their ability correctly.

La dee dah. Don't let them use it as a crutch, that's all.

Interesting! My son has this exact one and loved it. He was walking at 9 months. I didn't get this for him until after he was taking a few steps on his own tho. Once he has one of these bad boys there was no stopping him

My boy loves using this thing. When he couldn't walk yet, he was using it to stand up and sit down, a lot. When he started knowing how to walk, he kept pushing this thing around at age 11 months or so.

My son loves his and still loves playing with it even at 18 months now. He doesn't need it at all anymore, he just loves having something to push sometimes so we keep it around. It actually helped him out tremendously though. He was born with a clubbed foot which required surgery and months of treatment and 23hr of boot boot bar wear that delayed his ability to learn to stand. As soon as he was able to not be in his boots all the time around 9 months we got him one of these and he quickly caught up and was running around on his own before 1yr.

Once they build their muscle cores and you see them easily maneuvering and running with it, get rid of it or they'll keep relying on it.

The walkers that the pediatrician would be referring to are the ones that they sit inside and they use it to push themselves around. This walker is different and is the appropriate kind. Hope that helps to clarify
