Everybody eats most of the sweet cough drops like candies and when I was a kid there was a brand of soft chewy cough drops I think Smith Brothers which I dare any one to not eat like candy.

They work pretty well. I remember at the beginning of 2020 I had I hide a cough so people wouldn't freak out whether it was COVID or not or if they got COVID themselves they wouldn't blame "The dude that was coughing probably" lol

These absolutely taste fabulous, and hardly work when you actually have a sore throat or cough. Still doesn't stop me from eating them like crazy when a box of them is in the house.
