Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
It may not be a sale price at Walmart but it's the lowest price by far of any seller. To me, that's a deal. YMMV
Could you imagine what this forum would look like if it contained "non-deal" items that people felt were a good, but everyday, price? I think the exception (and even then many people still scoff at that) is that a "rare" item is posted here at regular price but it's an item that is hard to get IE Xbox X or PS5.
In this case, I found a similar item on Amazon for only slightly more shipped so this is not like some killer deal that Walmart only has. I agree with you that it's a fair price for what your get but it's still not what Slickdeals is about in their own words.... "Where savvy shoppers discover and share great deals"
I have one of these, going on 10 or 12 years. The pistons don't work so great anymore and the plastic for one of the hinges cracked (easily fixed with a 3" lag) but otherwise holding up really well and does the job to keep water and pests out.

I'd 10x rather see a deal like this (market low for the need when "regular price" is significantly lower than all other comparable options) than the deals usually coming from SD staff that are based on wildly high inflated MSRP anchor prices that no one ever pays, but hey, they are "70% off!!!".
How good is the ventilation? Does it get moist/damp at all on the inside? think it's possible to do some diy mods to this and turn it into a dog house maybe. Considering getting it to store all our outdoor toys, and such, plus give her a place to camp out when it's hot if the ventilation is good
That's why I got rid of mine, anything sensitive to moisture, your better off keeping in a your garage. Or cut some holes into it for air flow. Stored my hoses and some yard tools and it was so air tight (besides moisture) here in Chicago suburbs belive it or not it's extremely humid for half the year here. All my hoses got mold and my tools I usually don't have rust on them really rusted bad. I should have cut some holes in it but it was an eye sore so I just gave it away. Sister in law loves to it keep all her kids outdoor toys in!
Your right. It is only 28 inches in length. Would definitely be a very tight fit for my 10k watt Duromax. With the wheels it probably won't fit. I'm not home to measure.
Yeah I did on my wen 8750 inverter. Had to take the wheels off to make it fit and close. I run it with the door open (have the shed under my deck). Not the best quality but serves the purpose and for 130 I didn't have to bother making something myself. I ordered two of these to use one for something else and one came broken so just ended up keeping the one

Any chemicals leeching from theplastic is probably bad for dogs.

Ventilation is not great. I use this as a cat outhouse. It holds the cat's litter boxes. I cut a hole in my house and added a cat door that leads to the keter. I ended up installing a solar powered roof fan on top to add ventilation. And I had to do a few mods to make it waterproof.
I would not recommend this as a dog house, especially in warm weather.

After years here I guess I must be missing all the MSRP deals posted here. What I consider a real deal is when I come here and I see a substantial price drop on something that was selling for a certain price for a long period of time.
I can hit Amazon, Newegg, Target, Walmart or any number of retailers and come up with thousands of what I consider "good deals" each day and clog up Slick Deals with nothing but "Everyday Prices" and make SD into yet another spam web page that retailers pay to advertise on.
Look I'm not saying that this does not appear to be a fair deal but SD is called Slick Deals and not "Fair Deals" - I don't have time to wade through thousands of Fair Deals each day which is why so many of us come here. We want to see REAL deals and not every day prices.

Had to go directly to Walmart and type in keter. Got one delivered.
