This beats not testing at all and trying to use your own judgement. Even if it's not 100% accurate, if your blowing a even a .02 on this, you might as well wait 30 minutes to an hour before driving. Just because the legal limit is .08 doesn't mean you can't be considered impaired between below that.

I handle drug & alcoholic compliance and I strongly recommend something like this (or better https://www.bactrack.com/products...eathalyzer) if you plan to drink at all away from home. Even $100 is worth it vs losing your license (or doing something worse) for 90 days at a minimum for a DUI.

Generally speaking there are federal regulations, which dictate policy and procedure regarding d&a use and testing for any workers who handle DOT safety sensitive tasks such as road transportation, rail, air, coast guard and even pipeline employees. Compliance involves ensuring the organization's policy (testing practices and training) falls in line with the regulations. Mostly I review policies, testing documents (custody control forms, review of testing facilities), auditing of records and making recommendations, etc.

The S series is accurate most often. Best to find one that has the same collector as that series. Not very helpful but still

Just out of curiosity, what does "drug and alcohol compliance" mean?

Only goes up to 0.30%. Not high enough for us seasoned alcoholics.

Some companies actually sell weed and alcohol, and some companies even want the employees to have actual knowledge of said products. Said company would probably have some policies in place for the few who cause problems.
