I'm a doctor, and wear the head loop masks all day; they fit me way better than the N95s I've tried, which tend to make the bridge of my nose sore in an hour or two, and these fit flat against my face for a pretty good seal where the N95s are harder to get a tight fit. Headloops rather than earloops prevent my ears from getting sore. Comfort is key so you'll actually wear them.
I really think the head loop masks are better protection and more comfortable.

As example, I was at a convention in Las Vegas over the summer which turned out to be a super spreader event. Many people I know got Covid. I was fine by wearing mine the whole time.
Comfortable, breathable, no weird smells out of the box. Thumbs up as this'll give me some discounts to restock up for the months to come.

I prefer the headband masks over the earloop masks.
I just ordered some for myself so I haven't gotten them yet but from what I've read, they're designed to more comfortable while still offering the same protection as N95/KN95 masks
I guess I've become a bit of a mask snob as I never wear anything less than a KN95, and I highly prefer the black color for purely aesthetic reasons, of course. The reality is, in my gym, almost nobody wears a damn mask... even now with Omicron, and a white mask seems to make you stand out even more than a black mask. Also, as an FYI, these are the most comfortable high filtration masks (other than a 3M coolvent) that you'll find... and you can use them over and over... and over again. Well worth the higher price.

as the other SDer mentioned, its about comfort. I like these versus over the ear because in long durations, the over the ear ones hurt. In short duration, i have to admit the over-the-ear ones are fine!

The Powecom KN95, made to the new standard, will be the same size, shape and use the same production process. The improvement will be from the new melt blown polypropylene cotton filter layer, which will upgrade the breathability factor (respiratory resistance) of the mask. This new enhancement will help make it easier to breathe for the user while still offering filter efficiency greater than 95%.
I tried to sleep with this original masks while flying on an airplane and other places where masks were required and found that I cannot sleep with one. The problem is my breathing slows and relaxes as I fall asleep. At that point I feel like I can't breath--being suffocated with something over my mouth and nose.
It would be great if the new material provides the same protection while making it easier to breath through them.
I have a buddy at Caltech whose lab set up some testing on masks. I'll try to send him a couple of these.
