Having had the service for 2 years now, you would definitely have to pay me to bring me over if I was with another carrier. They're on the same network as Vzw but I had Vzw for 10 years then switched and my reception and data speeds literally took a nosedive. Only reason I stick with Xfinity is because I'm on wifi all day now and I'm paying $30 for two lines.
Yep 90 days service is required, $18(By gig Includes taxes) * 3 = $54, $200 -$54 = $146(NET PROFIT)
You can do google voice, I did one during last month's promotion. If you decide to go with google voice follow these instructions.

For anyone's that's done this type of byod deal with Xfinity in the past, do you need to insert the sim card in the phone you signed up with to get the visa gift card? Or do you just need to successfully port the number and then you're set?

Second this.. I put my phone number in but there was no form for putting account # or pin. So I don't know how porting would work.

Yes you need to put it at least for few days. You don't want to risk eligibility. If you put in different phone it does reflect in online account

You put all that information in once you get the SIM and start the activation process. I started the process yesterday after receiving the SIM. It asks for your account #, the PIN and the SSN on the account.

I transferred a Google Voice. It completed in a little under a 24 hours, which surprised me since it took a few days the last time I did a transfer from GV. I couldn't figure out when to put the SIM card into the phone since they had two different instructions and chose to just put it in after I got the activation email. While my account and email said the activation was done, the phone said activation was not yet completed and I couldn't make any phone calls. But about 15 minutes later, the phone said activated.

Yes, I did use the IMEI phone I registered. I will keep the card in for a few days to be safe before swapping out the SIM. I need the phone line to get $30 off my home Internet, so I will be keeping the phone line for at least the next year.

Current offer is limited to $1200 vs. $2000 for previous offer?

$300 Prepaid Card: For new Xfinity Internet customers adding Xfinity Mobile by 4/10/22. Must maintain the new line with an account in good standing for 90 days following line activation. Prepaid card mailed to Xfinity account holder within 16-18 weeks of activation of all required services and expires in 180 days. Limited to one $300 card per account.

$200 Prepaid Card: Offer ends 1/10/2022. Requires transfer of phone number from another carrier within 30 days of line activation. Must maintain the new line with an account in good standing for 90 days following line activation. Visa Prepaid Cards are issued by MetaBank®, National Association, Member FDIC, pursuant to a license from Visa® U.S.A. Inc. This card can be used anywhere Visa debit cards are accepted. Prepaid card mailed to Xfinity account holder within 16-18 weeks of activation of all required services and expires in 180 days. Maximum $250 in prepaid card amount per customer/account. One card issued for total qualifying amount.
What is the part that states "Maximum $250 in prepaid card amount" referring to?

What's considered "line activation" in "Offer ends 1/10/2022. Requires transfer of phone number from another carrier within 30 days of line activation."?

If I order today, will I need to get the Xfinity SIM card in time to activate by 1/10/2022? Will a local Xfinity Store allow me to get SIM card from them instead of being shipped/delivered?

Will this still qualify me for the promo if I order the sim card around the end of the promo - January 10 but activate the service and transfer my number at the end of the month (less than 30 days after ordering the sim card) ?

I have an active service with Cricket and I paid for the whole month and my Cricket subsidized phone will be eligible for the unlock at the end of the month.
From my limited experience Xfinity will send out an automatic email a week after the delivery date to remind you to activate the SIM. You can wait longer as you wish but billing for that inactive line starts regardless.

Depends on your billing cycle you may incur a monthly cost ($15+one line tax) starting Jan 17 or later.

It's still worth it for the $200 BYOD prepaid card. BTW. Does Xfinity accept BYOD order with a Cricket-locked phone?

Does anyone know if Visible number (Verizon MVNO) qualifies as port-in for this deal?

Yes, all carriers do. I chatted with the agent about it.

If you add a line, is it supposed to show up under your devices immediately? I know you can't activate it before the sim ships, but I thought the device usually shows up right away once you add it

Thanks for the feedback. That's strange that the billing starts before the service is activated, although I agree that it's still worth it.
I'll be activating a different, unlocked phone. Not the one I'm using on Cricket.

Anyone have issue transferring from visible to XM? I've tried port in 2 numbers from visible today and got a message "Let's fix a glitch" for both numbers during transferring steps. Contacted Xfinity and he said I have to contact Visible for port out request lol.

Do I just need to order the sim before 1/10 and activate within 30 days?

I'm running into this issue. I ported in phone number A from t-mobile using iPhone 6 IMEI. I then ported in phone number B from t-mobile using the IMEI of an iPhone 13. Both ports went through fine.

I was able to activate the iPhone 6 with the SIM for phone number A. However, I tried to take the SIM from phone number B and put it into the iPhone 6, but calls won't go through, most likely due to the IMEI from the iPhone 6 being tied to the SIM for phone number A
Xfinity tells me that I must use the IMEI that I input in my order to activate my SIM. So a random IMEI generator online wouldn't work because you will need the phone physically in your hand to activate your new SIM. Otherwise the line couldn't be activated so the $200 won't be granted.

I used my own device for one port in, and IMEI generator for another port in. Looks like I will only get the first one worked out.

Are you saying you activated each SIM in the appropriate registered IMEI Phone and then when you tried to switch the SIMs it did not work. Or are you saying you tried to activate both phones using the same Iphone 6? It might say activated on the website but what phones did you insert the each SIMs in to finish the activation?
