When I bought my unlocked S21 Ultra with the Activate Today option, I was told I have to stick with TMobile for 90 days. Don't know why cause it's unlocked.

Do they let you prefer the 256MB in store or just inform you is out of stock?

I probably would have bought this phone if they didn't remove the expandable storage option and aux Jack. What's the point in buying an apple wannabe? Might as well just buy an iPhone.

You can get the 256 in store. If they don't have it, they will ship it to you.

Just left best buy. New trade in prices for unlocked phones have not been updated in their system yet apparently. They could not do anything about it so their associates had to resort to using their trade in value print out which still showed the previous trade in pricing.

Initially tempted but it makes sense to wait for S22 Ultra/Note which might be released less than 2 months from now.

These deals are for unlocked phones. This can be taken advantage of in 2 ways. For someone who is new (like a kid or a immigrant) who has no phone and no service. They can sign up for a service, and get this phone for this price with any carrier. For those of us with a cell phone service already, if you want to keep your current phone, you can buy this phone at the unlocked price and this would be your new phone. You can also trade-in your current phone (value depends on what you are trading in).

There is a third thing you can do. If you want to buy this as a gift. You can buy it. Activate it on your account. Take the sim card out, put it back in your old phone. Then give this phone to someone else. It's always unlocked so it will work on their service. However, the box is of course open but as long as they don't care about that. It's still a new phone.

There is no requirement to sign up for a new cell phone service with these unlocked deals (this is why people like unlocked deals. There are no monthly subsidies that lock you in with the cell phone carrier). However, you have you at least have an existing service. The only caveat with trade-in offers is that the phone you trade-in has to be fully paid off and owned by you.
What if you have service but not with TMobile, Verizon etc (I have Mint). Can you still take advantage of this in any way?

Can I trade in my S20+ 5G unlocked for $600, cancel new account/line and keep the S21 Ultra and pay $199 plus tax?? Paid less than $600 for the S20+ 5G. Had the S20+ for less than 30 days.
S20+ > S21 Ultra so not sure if that would be a good path unless your having problems with the S20+ and want to upgrade

Especially when I was trying to trade in s20 plus 5G (12GB Ram 128GB Storage with SD card expansion) which I got 10 days back as samsung renewed looking as good as brand new for s21 ultra 128 (256 GB Not available anywhere around me). Still I value the superior camera, great battery life and QHD 120HZ Screen in S21 ULTRA.

Thanks for input on this. No issues with S20+ except for learning how to use it. Great phone and price was right. About 1/2 the price of iPhone 13 that many swear by and say is easier to use than Android.

I got the same S20+ deal you did. Mine is totally pristine. Someone else on here just told me our S20+ is superior to S21 Ultra. Before I got my S20, I wanted the Samsung flip phone but I think we got more phone for less money and w/o any hassles trying to cancel carrier service since our phones were already unlocked and no activation required.

Went to local BB store. They could not find any documents about this deal, even after I showed them their own webpage showing the higher trade-in values. Came home without the deal.
I was also told that no free Bud2, only 50% off the price.

So I can just buy this outright at $799 and just use my current SIM card?
