While I had my small car SLK32 on it, it failed. It does not come down as it has safety locks in place so that was the good part.
So, I call customer service and you would think that most people would be using this product on the weekends, right? Their customer service is closed on the weekends.
Monday comes in, I tell them that my car is stuck on it. They said they won't even talk to me unless I bring down my car first. I asked, how do I bring the car down when it is stuck, hence the reason for my call? They pretty much said to figure it out. They suggested jack stands and stuff. I thought that the idea was to consolidate the tools. I still have to keep the jack stands and other jacks?
Anyhow, after I get my car down, they concluded that the solenoid was bad. After 5 days I get my new solenoid, It all works for 3 minutes and then the new solenoid goes to smoke. Their excuse, oh it is made in China.
Lucky for me, I had bought it using my home depot credit card. After 6 months, I was able to return it to Homedepot with no questions asked. I do not see a value. YMMV.
One of mine was not made properly and it binds very bad on the way up and the way down. Dealing with their customer service was an absolute nightmare. Every interaction took several weeks for them to get back to me, and they refused to believe there was a defect in their product even after I took several videos of it binding and not latching or de-latching properly. I even identified exactly where things were welding wrong/offcenter and they still ignored it.
Eventually I just wrote it off as a loss and moved on, and these are way too expensive for that
Even if you get a good set, they arent as convenient as you think they are. By the time you get them all setup and aligned with your jack points, you could have just lifted the car with standard jack and jackstands. I consider these a luxury/convenience item for gearheads and ultimately they dont make much sense for that.
All of the glowing youtube reviews are paid / free product, so keep that in mind.

Its a big price difference for a minimal change (in my cheap reptile brain).
Also, the HD deal may be stackable with military discount (if that applies for the person buying it), Quickjack direct offers a military discount, but it does not combine with the $200 off promo.

The biggest difference between the 5000TL and BL-5000SLX is the lifting height, which has increased 3 inches. This provides ample room to perform all the common vehicle maintenance tasks and allows you the capability to perform even the most complicated repairs.
Overall dimensions have remained the same, so you'll continue to benefit from what made QuickJack so popular in the automotive community and that is it's super-low 3" lowered height. The minimum lifting point spread did change from 31.5" to 37", but this will not make a difference to the vast majority of 5000TL users.

I went through the same thought process on Black Friday. For the difference, I went with the older version.
I've been wanting this for a while.

I'm gonna wait for the TL version to go on sale at Costco.

The added 3" of clearance would make using the lowest settings on most transmission jacks too low you'd need a stack of 2x4
If people are looking to send a little more. Look at the extended version (advertised for suv size). I've started noticing even with larger sedans the jacks placement on this regular size quick Jack is too short and needs to be weirdly placed to make it work.
