FYI that's what the "unmanaged" part means in the product name. We sometimes call these unmanaged switches "dumb switches".

Not exactly the same, this is a PoE+ switch.

Excellent switch deal. We've purchased several of these exact switches the last time around for the same price. Works great with office PoE powered phones supporting as a hub for our new open space setup where we have 4 desks stack together.

Just bought another, maybe for future PoE Hat Raspberry Pi setup.

Bought these for around $20 a year ago to drive my Arlo monitoring cameras... they have worked so far great with no problems.

Another good thing about this is ... there is no external power adapter. Direct wall pluggable chord.

Is this good just for expanding my Ethernet connected devices in my basement?

I have 1 CAT5 coming downstairs right now hooked to my PC, will this allow me to plug in PC/XBOX/Roku all off of the 1 cable feeding it?

That's not always the case. The TPlink SG108E calls itself unmanaged but has vlan tagging, for example.
