Otherwise, there are aspects of Austin I still enjoy when I go back and visit. It's just getting more difficult to get around in Austin anymore.

Key West sounds like a better destination for you. You'd at least be 30 min life flight to Miami if you injure yourself hiking or have a medical emergency. Aloha.
