I haven't found this to be remotely the case in my use. Smooth as butter, very quick and haven't had the first bug or glitch.

Be aware that if you are a Cricket customer looking for a phone to use on their network this will NOT work starting February of 2022. It has to be the IN2015, which the T-Mobile version is not.

Then your phone must be rooted, rooted phone works for everything thats no surprise. .. conversely if phone not root, try to reboot your phone, call recording service must be killed.. you may have star over the process again to get back call recording ..
I d=am pretty sure I am not rooted also I havent even unlocked bootloader yet. The service just starts right back up after every start. I must have done something with adb commands I think. Look into that and maybe that's what gets everything going for me.

Would have gotten an 8 also but I can't stand curved screens. The 8T does not have a curved screen. Well worth it for me.
That was the only point of concern for me and I bit the bullet for 8 instead. The increase in price is just not worth it for flat screen. Especially if my wife ends up putting a case on it. I do love my 8T though.

Just be aware that if you're buying this phone to use as a daily driver, OxygenOS 11 has been majorly buggy + slow. And OxygenOS 12 seems to be even worse, as they're merging ColorOS into OxygenOS but without fixing many of the issues on either skin + locking the software down even harder (like breaking the GCam mods that improve the camera). I'd recommend to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom ROM ASAP.
I only found the OS updates to be a problem on my OnePlus 6, it got slow but it's coming up on 4 years old, so I get why. But nothing with new OnePlus phones.

$200 more and you can grab a Google pixel 6
$200 less and you can grab a garbage phone. What's the point? Spend 80% more money and you can have a different phone.

I've had it since release day and not a single issue that you mentioned.

Yeah but with a Google 6 you're not going to have to worry about being banned from AT&t or other networks like you are with OnePlus as they are banning the OnePlus 6.
Last checked, AT&T is shutting down its 3G network and OP6 doesn't have any compatible 4G bands with AT&T network. Does that sound like "banning" to you? If so, then Samsung buyers should be concerned too since AT&T is also "banning" some older Samsung phones too when it shuts down its 3G network.
