I haven't found this to be remotely the case in my use. Smooth as butter, very quick and haven't had the first bug or glitch.
Been using the 8T for a year now. Very strange happenings in that when I'm on it talking, my cheek occasionally mutes the phone or dials a prior caller. Another bug is just like my prior LG phones (G3 and G7), my bedroom is an occasional dead spot despite my using WI-FI in my house. Only Android I've had that did not have this issue was the phone I had prior to the G7, the Samsung S8. Overall a decent but not spectacular phone.

Just be aware that if you're buying this phone to use as a daily driver, OxygenOS 11 has been majorly buggy + slow. And OxygenOS 12 seems to be even worse, as they're merging ColorOS into OxygenOS but without fixing many of the issues on either skin + locking the software down even harder (like breaking the GCam mods that improve the camera). I'd recommend to unlock the bootloader and flash a custom ROM ASAP.
I haven't had any issues so far. It's going fine and been close to an year now.

I've just recently ordered the 8T from them for $450.
Is there anyway to get the $50 adjustment? anyone tried?

Thanks

I think they'll move all of their stock and discontinue it before it goes that low.

I've heard some try with the 8 but no success story's. Good chance you'll like have to take the hit. Sucks cause I gave $250 for the 8 just to see it cheaper weeks later.

My family's 5, 6, 6T, Nord N10, and my own 7 Pro, 8 required daily reboots to maintain functionality and to stop stuttering + frame drops. And that's not mentioning how 2 of the N10's require 2+ seconds to register an action on the tap (I.E. I tap, the pointer shows that I've tapped, but the phone doesn't do anything until 2+ seconds later). This is on a clean install with no apps installed too. And my OnePlus 5 can no longer maintain a signal after updating to OOS 10 and beyond. Glad to hear your experience is way better than mine though.
I find that hard to BELIEVE that ALL OF THEM HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

How long do we need to wait to unlock it.
As soon as you get it. Why wait. If you're in TMOBILE you can have them unlock it also

That deal was last night through the morning. From what I read it was $199 for a coupe hours then switched to $250 with a $50 off code.

Just curious whether you will still consider 9 or 10 since seems most version if not all have problem, but your family continue to consider this brand

I bought the original Oneplus 1. By that time, the price is really reasonable, and the reputation of flagship killer is well deserved. However, a few years down the road, the OS support is totally outsourced to third party, and the new phones are no longer that cheap. That's my first and the last Oneplus phone.

How's the camera? can you compare the pics taken with this Oneplus 8 to any other decent phones?
I dont know about regular photography but it takes amazing low light pics.

My wife has the 8t and we were able to take very clear pictures of our baby with very little ambient light.
