I haven't found this to be remotely the case in my use. Smooth as butter, very quick and haven't had the first bug or glitch.

Be aware that if you are a Cricket customer looking for a phone to use on their network this will NOT work starting February of 2022. It has to be the IN2015, which the T-Mobile version is not.

Does this really worth the $150 over the 8 that came out the other day for $250? It's pretty much the same species just 256G vs 128G. I am thinking to wait for the 8 to come out again.
Depends what you're going to use it for.

I seen a mint condition one sell for $270 on swappa. I usually buy my phones used from them. You just have to be patient about finding the right one for you.

You missed out the 8 was on sale for $199 few days ago. Only thing I wish is the 8 had a flat screen like the 8t. With the 10 coming out the 8 is going to be fully replaced by the 9. I'd say they are getting rid of stock with these deals. I can see the 8t getting down to $250-$300 if stock doesn't move.

not same specs...but both r good..

8t is practically better everything..... 90hz vs 120hz, better camera, 65 watt fast charge vs 30 watts,...

Is it worth the extra $$$ and maybe is my answer

My family's 5, 6, 6T, Nord N10, and my own 7 Pro, 8 required daily reboots to maintain functionality and to stop stuttering + frame drops. And that's not mentioning how 2 of the N10's require 2+ seconds to register an action on the tap (I.E. I tap, the pointer shows that I've tapped, but the phone doesn't do anything until 2+ seconds later). This is on a clean install with no apps installed too. And my OnePlus 5 can no longer maintain a signal after updating to OOS 10 and beyond. Glad to hear your experience is way better than mine though.
Geeeez man.
Im not trying to be a smart as Here I'm honestly curious why would u keep buying them

I read the OnePlus 10 was coming out in Jan so it makes a lot of sense to try to sell out the 8 and 8T so they don't get stuck with alot of unsold stock. Also a good way to get their phones into the hands of some new customers who might not buy otherwise

It's working, I got my first OnePlus with a Nord N10 on sale way back in Feb. Used it all year till the 8 sales recently. I ordered one at $250 a month ago and ordered another on the $199 sale. I'll buy at 8t if it hits the $299 mark. For the price they can't be beat IMO. Can't say I'd ever buy their new high end. At those prices I'd rather just go Samsung.

I wonder what folks usually mean when they say camera is junk. Could you please care to elaborate? What is so bad about this this camera?

I'm not into picture taking. I sometimes post stuff on marketplace with questionable lighting. I noticed going from my s10+ to a Nord N10 then a OnePlus 8 both the OnePlus, I had a hard time getting a decent pic in the same lighting. The camera just didn't seem up to par and was slower then the one in the Samsung. Even older models of Samsung I've had.

Is anyone able to get Student Discounts and Trade In discounts working? I logged in with my OnePlus Student Discount account and am trying to trade in my old phone but the price is still at $399

I've had this phone on T-Mobile since almost immediately after its release (along with my wife, brother, and his wife). It has been a rock solid champ of a phone.
I'm no OnePlus fanboy but, yes, I have enjoyed the couple of phones by them that I have owned. Because these points will inevitably be brought up and beat to death on this post;
- yes, the camera could be better but it is still FAR from bad and can take some amazing photos. I have side loaded the latest Google camera app from XDA Developers and I honestly switch back and forth between the OnePlus camera and the Google camera apps depending on lighting and situation (I realized they reach have strengths and weaknesses pretty quickly when comparing the same photos taken with each).
- Yes, OnePlus has taken a big change in brand direction since the original CEO left and merging with sister companies. It was inevitable and there are other brands that have battled to be the next "flagship killers" out there. It is what it is and doesn't take away from this phone.
- No, there is no wireless charging on these phones but the wired charging speeds are ridiculous. I have not noticed ANY battery degradation in the ~1 year of use. It is excellent. I haven't plugged this phone in overnight once since owning it because 20-30 minutes in the morning and afternoon is plenty. YMMV depending on usage.
- Yes, there are better phones but you will be hard pressed to find one that performs at this level for this price. You can wait and see what is released in the next few months that will make this model more outdated or you can take advantage of the price and have a very capable device for another 2 years.

Overall, I am always tempted to have the latest and greatest but this phone is just damn good. I would love to have the absolute best camera, screen, and overall specs but I ultimately got this phone for free through bill credits with T-Mobile so it was a no brainer for me. I would say this price is very fair and a solid deal for an excellent phone that will suit nearly everyone's desires. It is fast, has a great screen (I get compliments on it from coworkers), charges quickly, maintains battery integrity, and is reliable.
At what time of the year or promotion did you get it free? Sweet deal
