Customer must submit for redemption within 30 days of activation, and device must remain activated for 45 consecutive days. May not be combined with other promotional offers. We reserve the right to charge the amount of the Verizon Gift Card to your Verizon Wireless account if service is canceled within 12 months, change your price plan from an eligible unlimited plan, or upgrade your device on a device payment plan. Your Verizon Gift Card will be sent via email within 8 weeks after receipt of claim to the submitted email address.
Anyone know how long you have to wait to repeat this offer? Started verizon 1 year 3 months ago, got my verizon gift card at about month 2 or 3 then switched to tmobile after 1 year with verizon to make sure they didn't charge me for gift cards. Have been with tmobile for 3 months now.

What this, device must remain activated for 45 consecutive days, means is that you cannot take the sim card out of the designated phone and put it to a different phone. If your phone goes bad during the 45 days, you must call Verizon and make sure they are ok with that. and make sure you keep a record of that. They gave me a hard time because I did that to one of the numbers I ported within 45 days. I changed phone. In my case, they did not say anything while I was still in service with them, but they give you a bill for all the gift cards they gave me at first. I did switch out of Verizon after the time they required me to stay with them which was 6 month. This deal you need to stay with them 1 year. And make sure you do not get out even 1 day less than the 1 year.

Yes, it is a confusing statement of device need to be active for 45 days. Some where else it says line must be active which makes sense.
I called customer service as a phone broke after a week. They said as long as new phone is also BYOD it should be fine, Hope it is fine.
im trying to switch over to verizon for this promotion with my existing att number, but it's saying "this number won't work on verizon." anyone ever see that issue before? i was a verizon customer couple years ago though.
IMO this is a great deal, especially if you are porting over 5 lines (or 4 lines). You can get the lowest Unlimited plan for $30/month (with paperless billing). So, for 5 lines, 12 months of service (minimum time required) is $1800 + small amount of taxes/fees. (I think they also charged $35/line for activation.) With 5 lines transferred you get $2500 in GC. (I suppose in this case you may want to keep service more than a year to use the GC balance.)

This is similar to this popular thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/15368476-500-verizon-gift-card-per-new-line-if-you-switch-and-bring-your-own-device-make-up-to-2500-00?v=1&src=Site
But actually better: I was able to get (at least on my receipt; not physical received yet) $500 GC per line, on the 'Start Unlimited' plan ($30/month per line for 5 lines; $35/month per line for 4 lines).
In the past it sounds like it was only $350 GC on that plan.
All and all, you can get 12 months of free service if you are doing 4 or 5 lines.
