Thank you! I've been waiting a long time for one of these to go on sale.

Seems the Kobalt 80v battery and charger to use this is about $250+? Do you guys already have the Kobalt 80v battery + charger from other tools that makes this a good deal?

Yes have a 5 ah battery that came with the lawnmower. Plan on using this for tailgating / emergency power for a couple small items.

Anyone know if this can power a Chamberlain garage door opener during a power outage?

I would recommend one of the newer garage door openers that already have the battery backup built in. They usually use a High Efficiency DC motor.

Most regular garage door openers use a AC motor. Running AC motors on small battery inverters can get a bit tricky.

AC Motor Size - Approximate Starting Wattage - Approximate Running Wattage

Capacitor Start Induction Run 1/2 Horsepower - 1800 - 600

Capacitor Start Induction Run 3/4 Horsepower - 2600 - 850

Capacitor Start Induction Run 1 Horsepower - 3000 - 1000

I've used this inverter while camping to power an inflatable mattress. Very handy.

No, most products are 40v. I have 5 40v batteries, waiting for that one.

Sketchy purchase because they've been killing off the 80v Kobalt line and transitioning to Ego stuff. If you're not in the ecosystem yet, it's inadvisable to get in now. I wish I hadn't gotten 80v Kobalt stuff a year ago.

Yeah I've noticed that as well, very unfortunate for people in the ecosystem but I have two batteries. Can come in handy during a power outage.

Just use the manual release on the door. Usually hanging from the inside.
