Heads up on the steel book - every one of these "game + free steel book" that I've bought on sale after release (including this one) has come crushed, dented or heavily scratched. These seem to come from store inventory and have always shipped separately for me from the game disc, in a bag mailer. The steel book cases are empty and un-sealed with a finish that scratches easily.

Great price on the game for sure. No idea when the next gen update is actually coming (it was supposed to be this year, it was pushed to next year and there's been no real update since)

Just a heads up for those buying this specifically for the steel book who already own a copy of the game.

On pc this game was visually buggy at times but otherwise a wonderful experience. Digital Foundry said the console version was basically the same if playing on next gen consoles. Wouldn't recommend last gen consoles though.

Imo it's worth experiencing for $10 - even if as an investment for the next gen update.

It's because the (last gen) console version was admittedly a lot more buggy than the pc version. Latest update from a few months ago made it playable (and dare I say even enjoyable) on next gen consoles. Still some minor bugs but well worth the play through.

Heads up on the steel book - every one of these "game + free steel book" that I've bought on sale after release (including this one) has come crushed, dented or heavily scratched. Never had that issue, but I've always just gone to the store to pick up myself. Bestbuy always has a surplus of steel books in store to give out. Every one I've gotten in store has come wrapped with a thin plastic film

People give this game a lot of crap, but I bought it at $30 and when played on the Series X it was entertaining. Is it the best gameplay and story? No, but if you loved Witcher 3 you will likely enjoy it as the weapon/XP system is similar. Are the open world mechanics as good as GTA or RDR? No way. But it was still fun and I thought the graphics were beautiful. I have no regrets paying $30 and at $10 I think it's a steal.

this is worth $10. a beautiful open world, cool characters and good combat/RPG elements. but absolutely brain dead AI and still feels like it's missing a ton of polish.

devs are promising more improvements next year. but at $10 it's a slick deal regardless.

That's interesting! My depend on warehouse then. I ordered a few online during the last sale (since it was cheap and I wanted to get all the steel books) and they shipped each one separately, all damaged and no plastic wrap on any.

In-store they throw a pickup sticker on it, but if they're actually sealed in-store it shouldn't be an issue (I could see it peeling the paint if it's on the case directly though)

Came here to say this as well. I did the steelbook deal on release and had a hard time getting a non-bent one from Best Buy. They even went as far to say they were out of them everywhere at one point and just wanted to refund me $5 off my total.

Complete pita or roll of the dice if your can't pick the case out yourself.
