Every jack stand is great until there's a recall due to product failure. Moral of the story, make sure to put some other things underneath so it doesn't completely collapse on you.

A wheel underneath gives you a chance. I also leave my hydraulic jack barely locked into the jack point just incase.

Rest it on the stands but leave the jack barely touching. Nice insurance to have.

Is this a reliable brand that I can depend on not collapsing?

[edit] after reading some reviews, I sum up this product as inconsistent quality. I'd rather not.

Yes it is. They make good stuff. The welds on mine were very consistent and solid. The double safety was very nice as well.

They did have some inconsistent welds for a period that was fixed. I got a set today and they were solid. Very good quality and zero compromise on safety. This is perfect for me as a DIY selfer

Hobo Freight used to sell low quality ones that would fail. Miss those days.

Remember: you're supposed to rest the car on the jack stands, not the jacks with the stands as backup. I've seen people do it the dangerous way so don't.

That, I also do. But I've seen people just put the stands as backup! Also, you should be able to push the car when it's on the stand, and it shouldn't move.

True or False: When sold in 1 box, a "3 Ton" rating is on the "pair", meaning 1.5 ton per jack.

Yes. Most jack stands are the stated weight when using both of them together.

Yes. As of 2012-2013 the standard was changed from listing individual weight to pair weight. Sorry I had already googled this topic prior to your question lol
