Main vacuum we use was a Hoover Lynx (until the motor died), which was replaced under warranty w/ the Hoover ONEPWR.
Obviously the Hoover is better on carpet, however the Shark works better on hardwood, and especially against the walls/corners. Since the suction opening is right at the front it ends up picking up stuff the Hoover leaves behind.
Mopping is good enough - the included spray is great on engineered hardwood, LVP, Bamboo, and laminate.
