I noticed this, can't find anything better for this price range. $70 for a wifi 6 that handles my new internet speeds. I went from 300Mbps to 600Mbps.

Any comments on the range?
Would like to know range before buying.
Especially with microcenter being B&M only its more of a hasle.
Wondering how it fares against RT-AX86U

I found out (by accident) that if you have high speed internet connection (anything higher than 200-300mbs) you need one of these newer AX routers to maximize the connection.

Probably not true. I have a 500 Mbs FIOS connection. Have little older routers (two RT-AC68U, one Google OnHub and a TP-Link Archer 900 all wired with one as Gateway and others as AP). On my (again) old Samsung Note 10+, I have been noticing data rates of 500 and more. It seems to use more than one channel (I have kept four 2.4G channels separated and 5G as much separated as possible). I use a WiFi analyzer application that says what channels are connected.

wifi range will generally not be mentioned in any router specs. If you are covering a larger area then multiple of such Ai Mesh capable Asus routers would be a great setup (instead of just one). Just setup these Asus routers in AiMesh mode with wired backhaul (possibly using MOCA)

Really wish there was a microcenter nearby... I really don't want to drive an hour to get to the store.

Tried Amazon and Walmart. Didn't work. Best Buy doesn't carry this exact model. Not sure about other stores

I found this deal earlier and bought 2. My TP-Link On Hubs have served me well the past 6 years but Google just sent noticed they were EOL next year. I bought 2 and will setup mesh AP with one.

Office Depot is able to price match via chat. I chatted today and the agent manually matched the price. Ordered at regular price on office depot (while on chat) at $99.99 and the $30 will be refunded within 24 hours. Although the item is on backorder at office depot, we are able to place order. Provide the order number to the agent while on chat. They will provide you with the chat reference # and manually adjust the price within 24 hours.

I recently learned that BB will PM if you live within 25 miles of a MC. Since BB doesn't carry this router I guess the point is moot, but something to keep in mind in the future if you do live near one.

I had the previous version. This thing rocks. And the app too.
