I bought this a few months ago and it came with a charger with some kind of proprietary connector. I promptly returned if.

If you must have B&D brand, BDCS40BI is a superior model with slightly more rated power, bit set, and USB charging for $5 more.

I prefer this one for $3.50 more. It has more power (4V) and a bit magazine built in which holds 8 bits. Mine holds a charge for a very long time. It's an indispensable tool for light-weight work around the house.

It's worth it to spend a little more and get one with a trigger instead of the top button. Definitely hard to use and only suitable for very light work. I own one of these and it's like 7 years old now and still going strong so not the worst quality

Can't speak to the Hyper Tough. I bought this early December from Home Depot's site for a similar price. I too thought it was too good to pass up for a cheap low powered driver. Unfortunately, I had to return it as soon as I got the chance. It was garbage. I'm guessing the gear/clutch would slip and lock up the driver and it wouldn't engage. It wasn't a power issue, I charged the battery for the 18+ hours per the manual. Not

I have had this for a few months now and has been handy, since the old rando one I got from lowes literally started smoking and burnt out. The old one was charged using a microusb cable while this one has its own adapter which is a pita.

I have one of these from ages ago. I didn't use it for about 3 years and a cross-country move. I pulled it out of the box and built three sets of 6' wooden shelves and one complex IKEA table before the drill gave up on that charge.

I've picked up the 4V model that comes with a light for the same price before (currently $5 more) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0753F9HK9/

I wonder if this one has the same goofy charging connector though?

i have the Worx brand. two things you may not think you need, but will be asking for:

1. attachable screw holder

2. builtin extender

Same. Mine has lasted for about that long with no signs of issues. I just leave it in the garage and occasionally charge it (as opposed to leaving it plugged in all the time). Maybe there is a correlation to the folks with bad battery life experiences. I have had it lock up on me once, but it turned out to be my fault since the end has a very useful locking feature to be able to use it as a manual screwdriver (locks up the gears so you can tighten something really well without it just rotating as you try to tighten). I love this tool. I also like the generic Lowes micro USB one, though, because it is smaller, lighter and has a little LED.

I like the 4v Skil Cordless Screwdriver better. It has a tad more power, lithium battery also and it can be charged with a USB instead of Adaptor. I have owned a multitude of cordless screwdrivers over the years and definitely prefer a pistol type grip for usage. The Skil is only $5 more than the B&D.
