Okay so there is a lot to dismantle in what you said.
#1. I've never met a single gamer who preferred a 32" monitor to a 27" monitor for gaming.
#2. S3220DGF has one of the worst response times ever compared to any modern or similar model made to date.
#3. S3220DGF doesn't break 300 nits of brightness in any test.
#4. S2721DGF beats the S3220DGF in gray uniformity, color calibration potential, color gamut, HDR color volume, reflection, text clarity, and almost every other consivable area of quantifying a gaming monitor.
#5. It's not close, the response time on the S32 is absolutely abysmal. 14.8 ms total response time, this is getting towards bad television response time. To compare the S27 is 6.3 which is less than half the time required for the S32. This is bad like so bad. It's so bad that it's point two and point five.
#6. Total dark response time is _22 ms_ while it's 6 ms on the model OP listed... that's probably one of the worst test results ever measured on a 165Hz display...
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...l/s2721dgf
-Excellent gray uniformity
-Superb SDR color gamut
-Amazing viewing angel
-Excellent ergonomics
-Great reflection handling

-Poor black uniformity (common issue on IPS)
-Low contrast (common issue on IPS)
-Disappoint accuracy out of the box (common issue, ICC profile calibration needed from here-> https://www.rtings.com/assets/pag...rofile.icm)

Outstanding response time (6.3 ms total) but it does have 4% overshoot error. Fantastic low input lag at 3.7 ms at native resolution.

Price wise this ws $234 two months ago via a 10% news letter code mixed with $62.83 honey cash back. It's been hovering around $310 for a few weeks now and used to come with a $50 dell gift card and was urlhasbeenblocked cashback potential too.

This is a great monitor if not one of the best available in it's specs but it also has hovered at this price for a few months now and offered more rewards for less multiple times.
They are not the same thing. The Dell's 32" has a VA panel. This thread's is IPS

Can you confirm it will be reflected later via email? I ordered but did not see the deal reflected despite it showing as activated.
like ryudeshi said above, for me the bestbuy email confirmation had full price and did not reflect any discounts. But the paypal email i received did reflect as "Special Offer - $25.00 USD" on one of the subtotal lines.

It comes w/ display port cable, hdmi, and a usb cable. Mine runs at 165hz w/ the provided cables, and 120hz on my Xbox.

As long as your display port is v1.2 or above you should be able to.

If you had $300-$400 to spend on a 27" gaming monitor what would be your choice?

Is there really that big a difference in Dell IPS vs VA?

Use the included display port cable and adjust the setting up to 165. It defaults to 60 so you have to set it in Windows yourself. Beautiful monitor! No dead pixels/blooming. Got a Rev. 4, Manufacturing date of July 2021.

it's like my first day on the job. removed old monitor, plugged in new one, got some gpu errors, tried uninstalling and reinstalling gpu drivers, fail doing a windows reinstall. just for a damn new monitor. problem is that the gpu would freeze for 1 second every 2 seconds.

Got this monitor, looks good and all but compared to my Dell 2716DG I was using as main (will be my seocond) seems to put more eye strain on me.

I'm not sure if its brightness or not being used to IPS panel, but everything looks alot brighter and even though I turn down the brightness /contrast/ RGB, my old Dell 2716DG feels more comfortable to the eye.

And when playing games everything seems darker / colors more saturated.

Anyone have any ideas? good calibration method? You can google "S2721DGF eye strain" and see several results as well.
