Funny. I'm the packaging engineer at Utz, it's really cool to see my company represented. Glad you all like 'em so much!

Dang I just realized that the regular price on the party mix bags is awesome! It used to be 40 bags per box, but it's 60 bags now, 1oz each. And only around $12 with s&s, coming out to around .21 per bag... I love the utz party mix and it's the only ones I'll buy but haven't seen a deal on them so I decided to check them out too...

Here's the link to the party mix if anyone is interested... Utz Party Mix – 1 oz. We're working on it! The challenge is that the vast majority of our chips are made in Hanover, PA. We're expanding, but as we expand, we have the companies that we purchase make the chips in their area. For example, we're now making Utz branded chips in Fitchburg, MA and Birmingham, AL, but it's not quite the same as Hanover, PA. Same thing with the West Coast. Our Algona (Washington) plant may make them eventually, but it won't be the identical product that we make in Hanover and it's just not efficient to ship across the country to sell in CA. We're distributing pretty far, but just not there yet. You might like the Boulder Canyon Thin and Crispy line though - produced in Goodyear, AZ, and one of my favorites in the network.

It's the same thing with Lays or even applesauce - companies have a ton of different plants under the umbrella, and the taste can vary slightly plant to plant.

They're a popular brand on the east coast. We tried them on a recent trip there and love them. Only way to get them on the west coast is through Amazon.

Their chips is less oily than frito Lay's... like kettle chips but tastier than typical kettle chips.

Wish they have to crab version at this price.

These chips are really good, and the price is hard to beat. I just got my box from the past deal and they taste really fresh and are one of my favorite plain chips.

$9.44 as a one-time purchase, or Subscribe and Save will take a little more off if you have multiple subscriptions already.

Comes out to around $0.23 a bag.

Agreed. They taste exactly like you'd think a potato thinly sliced and fried would taste. Not heavy or saturated, just crispy and tasty. Underrated chip brand for sure.

Grandma Utz Kettle Chips are the best kettle chips I've ever had. If you ever have a chance, try those.

Wish this was the mixed pack for this price. 9 oz family size bags are currently on sale locally for $1.50 each which comes out to about 5 cents less per ounce. Granted, the convenience of a single 1 oz bag is great for throwing in your lunchbox and also portion control, etc.

They're not in stock at the moment (says usually ships in 2-5 weeks), so that's why the subscribe & save option is gone.

Are these as salty as the crab chips? I tried those and like the thin, light and crispiness but they were disgustingly too salty

Nice to see someone who works there on SD!

Tell them they have fans on the west coast. I'd love to buy them at my local grocery stores.

The batch I just received of these taste lightly salted, and taste super fresh. Better than usual when I buy them at a random deli.
