I use these to locate shorts on circuit boards. They make short work of it, pun intended.

Checking for cold/hot spots in your home to see if the insulation is doing the job. That or ghost adventures.

Thanks for posting. Would be a killer deal if it was USB-C, but I do see that they are including a USB-C adapter with it. Would be cumbersome to use though...

Resolution != Detail.

You get what you paid for. I have handheld hunting guns and those have "higher resolution" but don't work as well as the flir one pro, software enhancements and better sensors and direct connection to smartphones is just so much better.

Fyi I bought the usbC version of the one pro for $200 a few years ago (https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/t/11169651) and I love it- it's a great toy and is useful for house warranty and repairs... Not much for anything else lol
Your link is not pro. USB-C is a recent implement and you got one a few years ago? Also you have no idea how IR sensors has advanced in just a few years. The one I bought make their own sensors (in other words other company you know use those sensors on their own products) and their product is least 10 times smaller with better resolution as well as competitive pricing.

Lol I figured. But unless it's been recently fired to create heat, it will not expose a gat.
Hmm will your body heat just cover it up then? Or the cold metal will stand out? Haha

I don't think I've ever seen this model this low. Are you sure you're not thinking about a different model?

How does this compare to the FLIR ONE Gen 3 that's currently on sale for $179?
That states the resolution is 80x60 (4,800 pixels). Isn't this one 19,200? This one requires an adapter to use USB-C. There may be others, too, but those are two biggies.

I tell myself that if I have to look up what an item on Slickdeals is used for then I probably don't need it. Lol
True for me sometime, but I also got to know a lot of useful stuff I was not aware of.

I was in market recently, and figured FLIR is way over priced, bought one from Infiray (they are one of the few make their own sensors) which has 256*192 resolution for around the same price of FLIR pro version. FLIR's app features some imaging enhancement that might help a bit for the image quality but you wont find cheap ones with usb-c.
Where did you get yours? The cheapest smart phone IR camera from Infiray is $749 from Amazon, unless you take your chance with eBay seller. Which still costs way more than $200.

They use one of theseon Ghosthunters TV show, for what I don't know, maybe to see if the noises they claim to hear are actually from animals or people lurking around during "investigations."

Anyone ever replaced a battery on one of these. I bately used mine once..put it in a drawer...it was dead when I tried to use it again and out of the warranty period.

So ur basically renting these for a couple of years and when they go dead, theyre done?
Yeah... why do these even have internal batteries? If you're connecting them to the phone anyway, it can just leech off the battery that I keep charged every single day already...

Yes, I knew about the adaptor - wasn't sure about resolution and other features. Thank you for digging that up for me!
