I build PC as hobby, wonder if I can use install/uninstall on each machine I do to test without invalidating license. Anyone know?

I'd like to know too, if license allows that. I've been using free limited version of 3DMark, but full would be better for testing, loops...

there is a free standalone version with Timespy and Firestrike on guru3d.com you can download and slap on a USB drive or something portable.

Thank you kindly for the info. Currently using above mentioned version. Looking to do more with a licensed version. If it supports installing/uninstalling on more than 1 device. In what will be considered a technician's version I assume

"If you use the Steam version, you need to log into steam on any other computer you wish to use it on (and can do so only on one computer at a time).

Phone version is separate and has no advanced edition (it is free for all personal use, only companies wishing to use it need to contact Futuremark to purchase a Pro license)

You can also use the key from Steam version to use the standalone installer if you want to benchmark using that.

If you upload results to your 3dmark.com account, the key gets added there when you upload the first result (and is then tied to that 3dmark.com account) but 3dmark.com site usage is completely optional - Advanced Edition displays the results on the UI just fine, so no requirement to go to the website. Just an option to use it to collect all your results into the account for easy comparison."

"You can install it on multiple PCs as long as you login with your Steam account that owns it, but family sharing is not supported. Sorry, the key and 3dmark.com online account system assumes one user for one license."

These are responses from the Developer on Steam's forum, hope they help.

Just got a new gaming laptop and I've always wanted this since I built my first PC over a decade ago but was always too cheap. LOL Does this keep automatically updating for newer hardware? Like, will it update to be more graphics intensive/processing intensive as newer/better GPUs/CPUs come out?

I thought the free version I used, it always had like a yearly release or something.

Good info, thanks.

I am a little confused. Do you have to install Steam on each computer before installing this?

My favorite game. I like the part when the screen starts to artifact and crashes. That's how you know you've won.

Licence is tied to your steam account. Must log be logged in to use it. Other option is to buy the commercial editon. Only $999 a year.

The base application has to be installed but all of the upgrades do not. The upgrades test various setups. One for ray tracing, one for 4k, etc. You get the idea. Only install what you specifically want to test.
