Home Depot would typically give a military discount in store with proof of service. HD has now updated their discount to be more in line with Lowe's system. Now after you verify your service online you can order online to receive the discount on eligible purchases or use the app while shopping at the store. Follow the link and select military discount and follow the instructions. It only took about 10 mins to verify.

Bad side is the $400 yearly limit at HD, which is kind of annoying if you make large purchases. Also, no discount on appliances.

Saw this in my account:
"The Military Discount applies 10% off the price of select in-stock purchases made by eligible participants.
Eligible participants receive a $400 maximum annual discount which resets each calendar year."

"The Home Depot Military Discount cannot be applied to select items, services and fees, including, but not limited to, some commodity products (including lumber, wire, building materials), value priced merchandise, appliances, tool rental fees, labor items, gift cards and services including freight and delivery."

But just got verified and got this message back "SUCCESS! YOU'VE BEEN VERIFIED. You now have a Virtual ID to use when in-store. This is a QR code and can be accessed via your phone and by downloading our app. For online purchases, your discount will be automatically applied when signed in."
The last sentence here shows discount applied when you sign in on line. Great TX

In my experience, HD didn't allow the discount on specials or clearance. Even Lowe's disallowed it on some of the same items, but not as consistently.
