Great tactical strategy RPG, with high replayability. If anyone remember this game from early 2000s, the new installment came out last year and now on sale for 40%. Original price is $50. Demo available for both platforms.
"A sequel titled Brigandine: The Legend of Runersia, developed by Matrix Software and published by Happinet, released on the Nintendo Switch on June 25, 2020." Check your fact, don't spoil it for people who want to enjoy this game.
Remake. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Yes but it was a limited run and is very expensive now

Any significant differences between the switch and ps4 versions?
Not a whole lot except for graphic is a bit better on PS4. I would say buy Switch if you prefer handheld or PS4 if you rather play on TV. I opted for PS4 since I played the original game back in 2000 on PlayStation
This is amazing, especially on handheld switch (which this genre is totally made for). No brainer buy for the Switch. Great game regardless if you want on PS4/5 too.

No, you control provinces on a world map and then go into "tactics" fights using your Rune Knights and your monsters to defend or attack provinces until you conquer the continent. I guess the fighting can be considered like SF or FE but the game in total isn't the same.
I think this one is a little more story intensive compared to the JP and NA versions of the original, but fighting is still a key aspect.
A really important part of the game is how your knights' rune power operates. It determines how many monsters they can control, how strong the monsters are, and where they can move on the battlefield.
I bought this game on the Switch when this deal was posted and tried it for a few minutes. For anyone not familiar with the game, like me, it will be a very heavy investment of your time to learn it.
Definitely will need to do the tutorial. I skipped it hoping the game would introduce itself slowly but it throws you right into the chaos. Attack/defend phases, castles, various groups of armies and decisions to be made, arrows point everywhere, grids to move your team, manas to spend, tons of monster cards and stats, etc. I had no idea what the hell was going on so had to quit. It's not a simple game where you pick up and play. And it doesnt ease you into it. not sure it's for people who would feel guilty playing games too long.
not the right game for me. felt like i was looking at a chess board combined with dynasty warriors and yugioh.
