On sale at Amazon shipped and sold for $249.99 off $279.99!

I have been watching for Amazon to stock this for so long and it's finally here.

Completely worth upgrading from AC68U for wireless clients that utilize Wifi 6.

Microcenter has it for $229 on sale since a couple weeks. Bestbuy was able to pricematch Microcenter (Amazon did not). Thread here: https://slickdeals.net/f/15523609-asus-rt-ax86u-ax5700-dual-band-wifi-6-gaming-router-229-99-at-micro-center?v=1

$229.99 at Microcenter. Try to get Amazon or Best Buy to PM. If Best Buy w/Paypal $25 off $200 is still available, you can get it for $204.99.

Exactly how is a router selling at msrp considered a slick deal? Especially since this was $230 a couple of days ago!

Price aside, this is a damned good router and the software offers those of us who like tweaking things as much tweaking as
we like. Plus it allows blocking access to the internet as well as subject filters.

Maybe not slick but still a nice price on an excellent consumer router. ASUS tends to update their software for a very long time not to mention third party firmware compatibility. I have one of these and it covers a very large living area without the need for any of the mesh solutions.

Slickdeals or not, this is a great router. Only Bestbuy had it in stock more consistently for the past 6 months. If you're looking for one, just buy it. Don't listen to idiots saying this is slickdeals and msrp is not a deal. You can screw yourself for months by waiting for a deal to come by or buy it now and save yourself headaches over router troubles. Especially if you just bought a Oculus Quest 2 and plan to use airlink or virtual desktop.

While I went the BB route by pricematching to Microcenter, saving $20 was not worth the 20+ minutes it took me to get this done. If Amazon had it in stock a week ago, I would have bought it there instead.

20 min not worth $20. I'm well off but you must be rich AF. I'll take $60 an hour all day.
